Guy Delisle, “Shenzhen: A travelogue from China”

Kinda like a follow-up to “Pyongyang”. Guy Delisle spends a few months in China as an animator-for-hire and writes about his experiences.

What I liked: The glimpses of life in China; how striking the simple drawings are.
What I didn’t like: Unlike “Pyongyang,” there’s no narrative arc.
What I learned: Cocktails made with snake innards=not tasty.
